In this dynamic

Director of Development

role, you will be responsiblefor fundraising initiatives including spearheading several annual events, grantresearch and writing, foundation work as well as capital gift works. The successfulperson in this role will also manage and work with volunteers and committeesthat support the special events.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead, coordinate and manage annual eventsincluding galas, gold tournaments, shooting events, black tie banquets; motorcyclerides, and other events that supports the Sproutlings Pediatric Daycare andother Charitable Care programs and initiatives.

Recruit, manage and coordinate volunteers

Grant work including research and writing

Successfully lead various special event committees• Oversee the operation of key endowment/capital elements,foundation and grant work• Participate in the creation, development, andimplementation of the Mission Advancement Department's fundraising activities.• Promote the total giving program of MasonicHomes through appropriate advertising and promotion vehicles, personal visits,direct mail, and all other opportunities.• Help to carry out the mission, goals andobjectives established by corporate management and board of directors.• Ensure payment of special event debts• Help establish an annual departmentalbudget for the fiscal year.• Actively participate in achieving thedepartment's revenue and expense goals

REQUIREMENTS• The successful candidate will have 5-10 years ofdevelopment, fundraising and/or related experience preferred• Ability to successfully create, develop andmanage donor and potential donor relationships• Great presentation skills and the ability toeffectively connect with local chamber of commerce, rotary club and other networkingorganizations• Be familiar with and keep up to date on allappropriate tax laws relating to charitable giving.• Be familiar with various types of givingagreements and their benefits• Be familiar with and carry out the gift acceptancepolicies as approved by the board.• College graduate or equivalent years of workexperience• CertifiedFundraising Professional preferred

K Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite preferred

Knowledge of Raiser's Edge and One Cause preferred
