Will create use cases, develop and maintain test specifications, test cases, test scripts and test data.

Will implement test practices, standards and processes, troubleshoot test issues, record test results, track and prioritize defects, participate in product readiness and release decisions.

Will also establish fact based measures of test efficiency, effectiveness and product readiness.

Responsible for estimating, coordinating and directing testing for multiple products/projects. Software quality assurance on highly complex and/or multiple projects, including manual test case execution, defect tracking, test plan/test case creation and management, and requirements analysis is required.

Additional requirements include testing web-based applications, performance testing, MVS mainframe development environment experience, JCL, TSO, processing batch jobs and working with production development environments.

Software development experience as a Client/Server Application Developer or Web Application Developer (J2EE) is preferred but not required.

As a QA Engineer, you will oversee all testing activities assigned to the team, ensure they are performed in a timely manner with minimal technical debt, while maintaining the highest quality, and support the technology roadmap for the team aligned to leadership and business priorities.

As a QA Engineer you will be responsible for delivery of quality technology initiatives with the following focus:

Provide accountability for testing and quality assurance for mission critical enterprise applications

Drive a continuous improvement mentality to deliver robust performance testing strategies and methods

Promote excellent development practices for coded test frameworks, to include participating in code reviews and source control management

Coordinate End-to-End testing across different product and domain teams

Design test automation for Salesforce UI, web services, APIs

Partner with development and other team members, provide technical guidance and work closely with offshore QA teams to create agile test automation solutions, accelerating Schwab's SDLC processes and meeting critical business objectives.

Maintain tools used in during test development including source control, test management and release systems

Mentor peers and staff on test engineering for QA, network with other automation teams within Schwab and derive automation best practices for continuous improvement.

Partner with resources in different geographical locations and offshore vendors\n
