Job Overview

Creative Resource Manager

The Creative Resource Manager plays a pivotal role in optimizing and staffing the creative talent needs of today and tomorrow. The ideal candidate will have an eye for talent and strong ties to the creative community. You will be a trusted advisor to leadership, balancing team dynamics, project demands, and financial implications. Your expertise will help teams deliver extraordinary creative work while nurturing an inclusive and innovative culture.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain strong relationships with creative talent and leadership to make staffing recommendations that align with skillsets, career goals, and project needs.Collaborate with account management, project managers, and business development, keeping informed on current and upcoming projects.Identify and address resourcing opportunities, working with account and project management leads to ensure key client deliverables are met.Lead weekly resourcing meetings to optimize utilization of creative talent and address under- or over-utilization.Source and recruit freelance talent when internal resources are exhausted, ensuring top industry talent is engaged for short-term needs.Collaborate with department leaders and project managers to review monthly utilization reports, providing insights and action plans.Partner with the HR/Talent team on onboarding new hires, ensuring smooth transitions.Implement, optimize, and maintain an internal resourcing platform to reflect accurate data.Continuously drive process improvements to nurture an inclusive and innovative culture.Maintain a strong working knowledge of how creative work moves through the system to ensure efficient resource allocation.Exercise patience and flexibility in managing dynamic schedules, evolving priorities, and shifting workloads.Uphold confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information.Required Skills

Deep understanding of creative roles and processes within an agency, with the ability to navigate complex resource needs.Ability to manage competing demands and changes in a fast-paced environment with a proactive and collaborative approach.Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple initiatives across integrated work streams.Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.Strategic and tactical thinking skills with a practical problem-solving approach.Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to run reports, create and track utilization and provide actionable insights.Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience.At least 5 years of experience in a creative advertising agency.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), with strong Excel skills for managing resource data.Workfront knowledge a plus.Experience in sourcing and deploying professional creative talent.Ability to travel as needed.
