*Description:*One of the largest grocery chains is looking launch a 0-1 employee portal enterprise tool to improve the lives of associates that are working in the stores. The platform will be functional but also engaging & informative. Features could include things like general employee tools, onboarding tasks, notifications, communities, dashboards, scheduling, etc.They are actively seeking a Lead Product Designer who will help define the underlying structure/flow of the platform, product strategy, and wireframes; working through to execution and design.The ideal candidates is someone who is a strong lead IC that has designed end-to-end, that's confident, strong cross-functional partnership, someone who can navigate ambiguity. This person will need to touch all points of the design flow - this is an app they are building from scratch, it's not just feature work, so need that background.* Solid understanding of user-centered design methods and usability principles.* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.* Excellent facilitation skills and ability to effectively lead whiteboard design sessions.* Effective negotiator, enthusiastic team player, and able to resolve conflicts.* Attentive to details while successfully juggling multiple assignments and competing priorities.* Proficiency with Figma and Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools.* Solid understanding of the technical implications of your designs. Knowledge of HTML, CSS is aplus.* Knowledge of user research methods, including lab-based usability studies, field studies, and usability inspections (heuristic evaluations or cognitive walkthroughs).* A hearty thirst and enthusiasm for UX knowledge, trends, sharing and banter.*Top Skills*

This role is hybrid (onsite for large meetings, otherwise remote).This is for a 6-month contract role. Full-time. Must be eligible to work on a W-2.
