It is a 99-bed trauma-informed and dual diagnosis program, staffed by an interdisciplinary clinical team of Substance Use Disorder counselors and therapists. 890 utilizes evidence-based curricula to provide individual and group counseling in a residential treatment setting for some of San Francisco's most vulnerable adults. Our goal is to serve clients in an environment where they feel supported and accepted so they can begin their recovery in a safe and peaceful setting.Key ResponsibilitiesSafety and Security Responsibilities:

Remain alert and awake during the entire overnight shift. Conduct nightly headcount and perform hourly house runs to ensure and maintain accountability and well-being of all clients and the facility's safety and security. Perform crisis intervention and communicate with the treatment team as unforeseen situations arise. Document client updates in the facility log daily and document incident reports. Perform CPR, First Aid, and administer Narcan as needed. May work weekends and holidays as needed.Treatment Setting Responsibilities:

Hold facility keys, ensure all doors are locked and alarmed according to schedule, and regularly monitor the facility perimeter for safety. Answer calls and communicate information to the team by e-mail. Monitor breakfast in the dining hall. Ensure all house laundry is completed. Appropriately file any outstanding paperwork. Maintain tracking sheet and send to the appropriate departments before the end of the shift. Attend required trainings and meetings.And other duties as assigned.Education and Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesEducation Required:First Aid CertifiedCPR CertifiedHigh School diploma or equivalentRegistration with Drug and Alcohol Certification recognized by ADPDrug and Alcohol Certification recognized by ADPMust not be on active parole or probationKnowledge Required:Culturally competent and able to work with a diverse populationStrong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Outlook, and internet applicationsExperience working successfully with issues of substance abuse, mental health, criminal background, and other potential barriers to economic self-sufficiencyIntegrity to handle sensitive information in a confidential mannerSkills and Abilities Required:Professionalism, punctuality, flexibility, and reliability are imperativeExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skillsAction-oriented with strong problem-solving skillsExcellent organization skills and ability to multitask and juggle multiple priorities.
