Job Title : GIS Programmer (Intermediate Level)Location : Fairfax County, VirginiaExperience : 3-5 yearsSalary: $38-$48/hr
Job Description :The GIS Programmer will be responsible for developing and programming spatial GIS applications using a range of tools and technologies, such as Microsoft .NET, Python, SQL Server Spatial (T-SQL), JavaScript, HTML, CSS, ArcGIS Pro SDK for .NET, ArcGIS Python API, ArcPy, and ArcGIS JavaScript API. The spatial data may reside in SQL Server, Oracle, File Geodatabases, or other RDBMS environments. The role requires strong programming expertise to design, implement, and maintain spatial data-driven applications to support various GIS projects.Key Responsibilities :Develop and maintain GIS applications using multiple programming languages and frameworks.Design spatial data models and workflows.Integrate and manipulate spatial data across different database systems (SQL Server, Oracle, etc.).Collaborate with GIS analysts and other stakeholders to understand and translate project requirements into functional applications.Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization for GIS-related software and systems.Qualifications :3-5 years of experience in GIS programming and application development.Proficiency in Microsoft .NET, Python, T-SQL, and JavaScript for GIS applications.Experience with ArcGIS Pro SDK for .NET, ArcGIS Python API, and ArcGIS JavaScript API.Strong understanding of RDBMS, spatial databases, and data management in SQL Server or Oracle environments.Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects.
