GIS Programmer

The GIS Programmer at Stafford Gray will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing geospatial applications and tools to support various projects within the organization. This role requires a strong understanding of GIS methodologies and the ability to write efficient code that integrates with GIS software and databases. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with GIS analysts, data architects, and other stakeholders to ensure optimal performance and functionality of GIS applications.RequirementsExperience Required:· A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in GIS programming or software development.· Proven experience with ESRI ArcGIS software and web mapping technologies.Skillsets Required:· Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or C# for geospatial application development.· Strong knowledge of GIS data structures, geospatial databases (e.g., MS SQL Server Spatial, Oracle Spatial), and API integration.· Familiarity with web mapping frameworks (e.g., Leaflet, OpenLayers) and GIS web services (e.g., GeoServer, ArcGIS Server).· Ability to create, troubleshoot, and optimize complex SQL queries and geospatial data processing.· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.· Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.
