1st shift Maintenance Technician

Job title: Maintenance Technician
Location: Norwalk, OH
Shift: 1 st (7 am to 3:30 pm) with overtime as needed during peak season
Salary: $21-$22

As a maintenance technician you will do hands on repair of tooling, hand tools, and machinery with strong emphasis on achieving or exceeding established manufacturing standards, improving manufacturing capabilities and the lowering of manufacturing cost through improved manufacturing processes, higher productivity in the workforce, and efficient material utilization.

Duties to include but not limited to:

• Collaboratively establishes and implements strategies to maximize and continuously improve safety, reliability, and productivity of the design of a product assembly process.
• Preventive Maintenance activities from lubrication, cleaning, and replacing consumable items on the machine.
• Troubleshoot issues with machinery/facility and repair as needed
• Prioritize urgent matters that need to be fixed to keep production flowing
• Reviews, investigates the equipment operation troubleshooting infrequent squawks in the operation of the equipment and repair them with resulting reliability and consistency which also includes safety.
• Monitors any maintenance or facility vendor to ensure the work is done safely, at price agreed, quality, and timely.
• Provide operations timing and cost/price for estimates of repairs.
• Laison with operations to ensure that all repairs follow the OSHA and Company specifications
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A minimum of a High School degree with 2+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing operation (AAS degree preferred.)
• Hands on with basic tools and machinery including a preference for experience with MIG and TIG.
• Previous working with blueprints and schematics.
• Some experience in a molding operation is preferred.
• Experience with an ERP system preferred.
• Hands on experience working with manufacturing OSHA Standards for guarding and ectara.
• Hands on knowledge of Micro Office Suite Products.
