Job Title: Inspector/Quality Technician
Shift/Hours: A-Shift
Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm
Rate: $23.00 - $32.00 per hour

Summary of Position

The purpose of this position is to perform receiving, in-process, and/or final inspections on critical-to-quality incoming
products, work-in-process products, and final customer product to ensure products meet and exceed customer specifications
and expectations. Assist AFM in daily operations.

Inspector/Quality Technician Essential Functions:

• Excellent use of standard measurement equipment (i.e., micrometers, verniers, etc.)
• Excellent Blueprint reading skills
• Experience and good skills on comparator
• Program and operate CMM using Pc-DMIS
• Good math and trigonometry skills
• Ability/Availability to work overtime and weekends when required by customer demands
• Experience and good skills with windows applications (i.e., MSWord, MS Excel, etc.)
• Experience and good skills with SPC, ISO9002, and other quality standards/techniques.
• Some knowledge of tool calibration standards and techniques.
• Review proposals (i.e., prints) to ensure a proper quality plan is feasible with the given job
• Institute quality plan for WIP jobs.
• Actively seek out WIP jobs and complete First-Off inspections to assist in the timely delivery of customer products.
• Familiarize yourself with shipment priorities and ensure that these jobs are not delayed due to quality/inspection reasons.
• Reduce scrap through accurate First-Off inspections and awareness of faulty machining procedures.
• Inspect incoming materials (tools, material, customer returns, etc.)
• Complete and file all applicable Inspection/Quality paperwork
• Interface with customers for inspection techniques, quality issues, and reporting when necessary.
• Work and effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors.
• Ability to comply with standards of operations.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Education: Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum 2 years advanced education-in-trade
ExperienceMinimum 5 years work experience in area of work
