Job description: Welder
Location: Berlin Heights
Shift: 1 st 7 am to 330 pm
Salary: $18 to $21 an hour based on experience/weld test

Job description

• Should have a good understanding of welding
• Ability to weld Mig, Tig And Stick
• Working with Carbon Steel & Stainless Steel
• Client a proper weld bead, avoid weld defects (such as porosity, undercutting, inclusions, etc.) and maintain proper penetration and weld size to all print specifications.
• Must have fitting experience.
• Create and verify basic weld fixtures as required to build product.
• Familiar with building, clamping, fitting, tacking.
• Ability to adapt to various other aspects in the shop.
• Demonstrate the ability to properly set and adjust the welder (gas settings, wire feed rate, and amperage settings) for the varying types and thicknesses of material to produce a proper weld with good penetration.
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance on your welder to keep it running properly and efficiently. This can include, but is not limited to, replacing tips and nozzles, and removing jammed or tangled wire.
• Ability to determine proper fixture settings or component placement through use of blue prints and mathematical calculations, as well as the ability to read and interpret work instructions, weld standards, policies, etc.
• Demonstrate the ability to read and interpret weld symbols on blueprints and schematics to produce welds that match the given specifications and produce parts that meet specifications.

Requirements:

• MUST have job shop / fabrication experience.
• MUST have your own tools
• 2 years of welding experience (Mig, Tig, Stick
• Ability to set and adjust welders
• Ability to pass a preemployment screening
• High school diploma or equivalent
