Job Details:

We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time permanent position in the medical industry, providing an exciting opportunity for a qualified professional to contribute to the health and well-being of individuals and families. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive primary care services in a patient-centered environment. This role requires a high level of professionalism, excellent clinical skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

As a Family Nurse Practitioner, you will be an integral part of our healthcare team. Your key responsibilities will include:

1. Providing comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, including health promotion, disease prevention, health maintenance, counseling, patient education, and diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses.
2. Conducting thorough physical examinations, interpreting medical histories, and formulating treatment plans.
3. Prescribing and managing medications and other therapies as per patient needs.
4. Ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests such as lab work and x-rays.
5. Collaborating with physicians and other health professionals as needed, including providing referrals.
6. Educating patients and their families on health care needs, conditions, options, etc.
7. Developing and implementing patient management policies and procedures.
8. Participating in continuous quality improvement activities and educational experiences in support of departmental philosophy and objectives, as well as Health System initiatives.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate for the Family Nurse Practitioner position must meet the following qualifications:

1. Master's Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in primary care.
3. Current licensure as a Family Nurse Practitioner in the state of practice.
4. Certification by a nationally recognized nursing organization (e.g., ANCC, AANP).
5. Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registration, if prescribing controlled substances is part of the job role.
6. Current CPR or BLS certification.
7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong focus on patient-centered care.
8. Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
9. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
10. A commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining current knowledge in the field of family medicine.
