The Nuna Group of Companies is now accepting resumes for their Receptionist role in their south-east Edmonton office. Nuna is the largest Inuit-owned heavy civil construction, earthworks, and mine construction contractor in Canada.

As the first point of contact for the Company, the Receptionist provides courteous reception services to all visitors and callers and directs their calls and answers questions, as appropriate. In this role, the Receptionist will also be responsible for completing other office and facility-related duties for the Business Unit.

Some Key Responsibilities:

Answer and direct calls

Answer and direct incoming calls in a prompt, professional and courteous manner. Provide information and assistance and direct customers to the appropriate resource.Ensure telephone answering service is on after-hours, weekends and holidays and that any messages directed to this service are relayed to the appropriate employees.Greet and assist visitors

Professionally greet and assist all visitors with sign-in and visitor badges.Manage and monitor reception area during office hours. Maintain a safe, pleasant and clean appearance in the lobby/reception by complying with established procedures. (This may include seasonal mopping.)Mail-sorting and distribution

Responsible for courier arrangements, postage for regular letter mail. Direct large-packaged, box items to Shipping and Receiving. Prepare Payroll package shipments for courier. Accept and sign-for packages and sort the mail, assuming responsibility for coordination.Stamping of incoming A/P invoices according to a Service Level Agreement.Operate postage machine and electrical mailing equipment. Prepare postage on outgoing mail.Organization and distribution of mail and faxes.General Facilities Office Services

Assist staff, as required for conference and meeting room scheduling. Twice daily, review all meeting rooms to ensure they are tidy.Maintain and revise, as necessary, Reception Manual and front desk directory lists.Ensure all office kitchens are maintained, stocked and cleaned as per service guidelines.Maintain office supply orders.Maintain kitchen supply orders.Assist with lunch orders for staff, as required.Other duties as assigned, which may include light-duty clean-up of certain office areas, plant maintenance, opening and closing of areas within the office building, among other reasonable duties.Ad hoc administrative duties, as required.Work Experience:

Minimum three years' experience in a receptionist role.Education:

High School Diploma.Office or business administration certificate or diploma.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.Attention to detail.Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise with all levels of the organization.Ability to prioritize competing tasks.Ability to work well with others and be a strong team player.Knowledge and proficiency of Microsoft office programs.Keyboarding skills.Willingness to learn and follow directions.
