Interns for the Hotel Supply Chain Team at Windstar will have an opportunity to engage with Windstar team members and leaders from nearly every operating unit within the company. With a keen focus on sourcing, procurement, purchasing and logistics supporting the hotel operations group.

The Supply Chain intern will have an opportunity to become an integral part of supply chain activities, including reporting, analytics, purchase order creation and maintenance, pricing negotiations, supplier partner management, logistics and inventory control.

In addition to daily supply chain responsibilities, Hotel Supply Chain interns are asked to designate a capstone project at the beginning of the program. The intern team will have ownership of the capstone project for the duration of the engagement. Guidance, mentoring and oversight will be provided by the Hotel Supply Chain team during the project. At the completion of the internship engagement, interns will present the results of the project to the senior leadership team.

This internship will be based in Windstar Cruises' Corporate Offices in Doral, FL.

Responsibilities

Construct and analyze logistics performance reportsMaintain and create dashboards related to purchasing service failure recovery effortsAssist in the creation of a supplier partner database with key performance reporting metricsAssist in reviewing, updating and executing key supplier partner contractsParticipate in supplier partner business reviews and assist in building performance reportsEvaluate the purchasing process and process vessel requisitionsReview and evaluate inventory control processesParticipate in developing an industry leading TCO model with enterprise scalabilityCurate a unique capstone project focused on process improvement or program enhancement within the supply chain organization, then present results to senior leadership panelQualifications

Supply Chain, Logistics, Business major with at least 2 years of course work completedAdvanced Excel (formulas), Smartsheet, Powerpoint preferredBasic understanding of ERP and MRP system functionsAbility to communicate in a clear and professional mannerAbility to work independently in a fast-paced operational environment
