PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing programs and strategies that promote positive interactions and relations between BCBSAZ and the communities it serves. This position serves as a liaison between BCBSAZ and various stakeholders, including local organizations, schools, businesses, and community groups, to foster collaboration and trust.

N/AESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Create, implement, and manage outreach initiatives aimed at community engagement.Develop strategies to enhance the visibility and accessibility of BCBSAZ within communities.Coordinate community events which facilitate dialogue and foster positive relationships between BCBSAZ and community members.Establish and maintain partnerships with community leaders, nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, and other relevant stakeholders to promote community-oriented engagement.Act as the spokesperson for BCBSAZ at community events and public meetings, representing BCBSAZ's interests and promoting its programs.Collaborate with communications team to create communication materials, such as press releases, brochures, and social media content.Address and mediate community concerns and complaints, providing feedback to BCBSAZ leadership for continuous improvement of services and relations.Develop and evaluate policies and protocols that impact community outreach efforts, ensuring alignment with BCBSAZ's values and corporate goals.Measure the effectiveness of outreach programs and initiatives, providing reports and recommendations to department leaders.Participate in business continuity planning and exercises, ensuring the community outreach perspective is considered.Local travel to various community events is required.The position requires a full-time work schedule. Full-time is defined as working at least 40 hours per week, plus any additional hours as requested or as needed to meet business requirements.Perform all other duties as assigned.REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
