As a part time ApplicatoinLaboratory Technician in our Cheese Application Lab Team, you will play a important role in supporting scientific research, customer support, project development, and quality testing through chemical and biological analyses. This position will work approximately 20 hours a week.In this role, you'll make a difference by:Autonomously planing, designing, and conducting simple laboratory experiments
Following established methods with precision
Being responsible for estimating the resources and time required for experiments, collecting, preparing, and testing samples, and meticulously recording observations
Preparingdetailed reports with results in a synthetized manner
Performing routine maintenance and safety checks on laboratory equipment to ensure optimal functionality
Executingexperiments with high reliability, including conducting basic calibrations
Adheringto hygienic, cleaning, and safety protocols and report any non-conformities observed during daily work
To succeed you must hold:The ideal candidate for the Laboratory Technician role will possess or be working toward a bachelor's degree in a related field such as Microbiology or Food Science, with Dairy Science being a plus. This candidate will:
Have proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English is essential,
A positive attitude and flexibility,
Demonstrate critical thinking skills and basic problem-solving abilities,
Be quality-oriented and work in a structured manner,
Showan ability to give and receive feedback effectively,
Have a team-oriented mindset, along with the ability to communicate needs clearly with peers.,
Possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
