The Ambulatory Infusion Center (AIC) Nurse will provide primary patient care for specifically assigned patients to include assessments, care planning, evaluation and education of patients receiving infusion therapy and/or other nursing services in accordance with the care matrices and best practices in the home or alternate site setting. Primiarly IVIG administration in a provider office.
Responsibilities Include:
Responsible for providing direct patient care administering IVIGAppropriate patient educationCompleting comprehensive nursing assessmentsEstablishing peripheral intravenous lines as well as accessing/maintaining central venous lines. (PICC lines, Implanted port, Midlines)Efficient and timely submission of clinical recordsMedication preparation and administrationTriage infusion patient inquiriesExcellent patient assessment and interpersonal skillsProvide clear communication and collaboration to optimize patient care and clinic operationsParticipates in performance improvement activities for the enhancement of care delivery offering suggestions and assistance towards the continuous quality improvement of patient care.Adheres to standards of safety and infection control, in the delivery of patient careManagement of AIC required documentationCleaning and disinfecting of all patient care areas in AICManagement of AIC suppliesDemonstrates a thorough knowledge of and complies with all policies and procedures related to the performance of job dutiesSchedule:
7a-3:30p hours Monday-FridayNo Weekends/Holidays!Requirements
RN Degree, BSN PreferredAdvanced certification in specialty areas of practice (e.g. CRNI, ONS, IgRN) preferred but not requiredMinimum 3 years nursing experience with background in infusion therapyCurrent nursing license for applicable home stateExperience in ICU and/or Cardiac Care preferredProficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.Valid state issued driver's license with no significant restrictions on that licenseSoleo's Core Values:
