We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Student Affairs

to lead and manage our Student Services and Career Services departments. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of fostering student success through cross-departmental collaboration, professional development, and strong industry partnerships. This role requires a visionary leader who is passionate about guiding students toward academic and career achievement, maintaining compliance with accreditation standards, and driving the college's objectives for student outcomes. POSITION PURPOSEThis position is responsible for the vision, direction, and management of all services related to supporting student success while enrolled in the academic program, and career success during and after the completion of the program. The Director of Student Affairs is responsible for developing and employee cross departmental collaboration between Student Services and Career Services to create momentum for the college to achieve all student success objectives. In addition, this position is accountable for maintaining viable relationships with community and industry partners and potential employers, as well as oversee professional and career development services to help students obtain gainful, entry-level employment into their chosen career fields.

JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Track, report, and supervise graduation and employment statistics through weekly and quarterly reporting for management and accreditation purposes.

Oversee Student Services and Career Services Departments to ensure professional and career development services are made available and are accessible to students.

Accountable for student outcomes and Student Services and Career Services goals.

Make initial connection with student at New Student Orientation, outline goals and objectives of Student Services and Career Services.

Conduct professional and career development workshops and seminars on a regular basis.

Assist recent graduates, alumni, and active students in career placement efforts in accordance with all company policies and procedures, all applicable state and federal regulations, and all accrediting agencies’ standards and requirements.

Secure Exit Interviews with pending graduates.

Coordinate and execute multiple career events and employer events throughout the year.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current certifications/requirements, and other industry standards for the school’s programs to ensure students are prepared to enter the career field.

Establish and foster successful partnerships with community and industry partners as well employers to create a viable network of employment opportunities for students and graduates.

Maintain and manage Graduation and Employment charts/binders for all programs to ensure compliance with accrediting standards.

Hold two (2) Program Advisory Committee (PAC) meetings per year, to create opportunities for educators and in-field experts to offer input on potential program improvements.

Document and maintain PAC Meeting minutes and provide input from PAC meetings to Educators.

Participate in commencement ceremonies and related activities.

Develop and maintain current job lists for active students and graduates.

Participate in formal and informal mentoring of new employees to support onboarding, training, and joining a positive working culture that supports the institution and its students • Perform and complete other tasks that may be assigned by Supervisor

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervise Student Services and Career Services staff

Education

For degree granting institutions, the Director of Student Affairs must have earned a degree at least one level higher than the highest degree offered by the school.

For non-degree granting institutions, the Director of Student Affairs must have an educational background equal to or exceeding the maximum credential offered by the school.

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in either a major field of study the school teaches; or b) Education, or, Psychology, Sociology, Counseling, Human Services or related field preferred

Experience/Skills

A minimum of three (3) years of professional work in a major field of student the school teaches, or five (5) years of experience in Human Resources, Recruiting or other job placement position, preferably within the school program industry.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, performance-driven, compliance-oriented educational environment

Detail-oriented, analytical, highly organized, and have the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure

Demonstrate a high level of integrity, strong work ethic, and professionalism

Persuasive and effective verbal and written communication skills, with a strong focus on customer service in an educational setting

Highly motivated and goal-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills

Must be able to work independently and as collaborative team member and have exceptional interpersonal skills

Excellent computer skills are required with proficiency in MS Office applications including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams.

CampusNexus experience a plus.

Ability and willingness to work outside of regular work shifts, including evenings and/or weekends as necessary or as requested by Supervisor.

Ability and willingness to travel locally or overnight occasionally for business.

Salary Range for this Role: $75,000 - $92,000.

In addition, we offer a $2,500 sign-on bonus to welcome you to our team. Individual compensation packages are determined based on a variety of factors, including the candidate’s skills, experience, qualifications, and the cost of labor in the market where the candidate will be hired.
