Job Title : Golf Club General Manager

Greenhorn Creek Resort, located in Angels Camp, CA, is seeking to fill an immediate vacancy for Golf Club General Manager.

Job Summary :

The Golf Club General Manager is responsible for the overall financial performance of the Club, leading all aspects of the club including its activities. This role contributes to and enhances the relationship between Club Members, Guests, Leadership, and Employees. In collaboration with the Regional General Manager, the General Manager coordinates and administers the club's policies. The Golf Club General Manager oversees the performance of the entire team, develops operating policies and procedures, and leads the work of all department leaders. This position develops, implements, and monitors the budget, monitors the quality of the Golf Club products and services, and ensures maximum member and guest satisfaction. This individual secures and protects the club's assets, including facilities and equipment.

Duties/Responsibilities : (include, but are not limited to):

The General Manager leads and directs the golf course's overall operation through maintaining quality standards, maximizing profits, developing, and retaining employees, and exceeding member and guest expectations.

Work closely with and meet regularly with the department leaders, club members, and its executive management team.

Collaborate with the club's Regional General Manager, Director of Finance, and department heads to operate a fiscally sound food and beverage department and golf operation.

Lead and direct all departments, including golf operations, food and beverage, sales, merchandising, and agronomy.

Ensure all departments achieve goals and maintain strong working relationships.

Partner closely with the Sales and Marketing Director to create and execute programming, marketing plans, sales, and pricing strategies.

Responsible for the selection, development, leadership, and retention of talented staff.

Monitor forecasts and results on a daily/weekly basis and adjust as needed to achieve targets.

Create and execute short-term and long-term operational and financial plans for the club.

Coordinate the development of operating and capital budgets according to the budget calendar.

Monitor monthly and other financial statements for the Club; take effective corrective action as required.

Analyze financial statements, manage cash flow, and establish controls to safeguard funds.

Review income and costs relative to goals; take corrective action as necessary.

Ensure proper controls are in place and being followed to accurately track revenues, payroll, inventories, and expenses.

Provide excellent member and guest service.

Review member feedback and determine appropriate plan of action if necessary.

Ensure the Golf Club/Property is in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws. Implement general policies established by the Regional General Manager and Ownership; direct their administration and execution.

Establish a basic personnel policy; initiate and monitor policies relating to personnel actions and training and professional development programs.

Provide advice and recommendations to the Regional General Manager and Director of Finance regarding alterations, maintenance, materials, supplies, equipment, and services not provided in approved plans and/or budgets.

Oversee the care and maintenance of Golf Club physical assets and facilities.

Coordinate the marketing and membership relations programs to promote the Club's services.

Ensure the highest standards for food, beverage, and Golf Club services.

Establish and monitor compliance with purchasing policies and procedures.

Work with subordinate department heads to schedule, control costs, supervise, and direct the work of all Club employees.

Attend meetings of the Club's Executive Committee.

Ensure a Class A experience for both internal and external guests.

Education and Experience :

Bachelor's degree (BA) from a four-year college or university; and five years of experience and/or training in Food & Beverages, Hospitality Management, Golf Club GM, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Vast experience with Large Banquet Events/Food & Beverages is preferred.

CMAA members, PGA members, or both are preferred.

Work Availability :

8-10 hour shifts

Day shift, Late Evening shift

Must be available to work Holidays, Weekends, and Night Shifts, according to business needs.

Compensation Package :

Compensation package negotiable based on qualifications and experience.

Compensation :

$85K - $90K
