Merrick & Company is seeking a GIS student for a paid summer internship for

Summer 2025

at our Tucker, GA project office. Imagine working on rewarding client projects and being exposed to unparalleled training and development opportunities!The summer internship has a commitment of approximately mid-May through mid-August 2025.We will be accepting resumes for this opportunity from approximately September November 2024. Resumes will be reviewed as they are received. Interviews will take place in the Fall/Winter. Offers will be extended in Winter/Spring. Timeframe subject to change.What You'll Do:The Merrick Intern Program will provide an undergraduate or graduate student an opportunity to gain technical experience in the field of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) processing.The position requires the collaboration with other disciplines, ability to interface with clients and contractors, follow schedules and budget commitments, work independently, possess good written and oral communication skills and the ability to problem solve.Qualifications:Must

be currently enrolled and entering junior year or higher of degree programMust

be pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Geography, GIS, Geomatics, or a similar majorCollege courses in ESRI ArcGIS/ArcPro is requiredKnowledge and/or courses in GIS including:

Data managementGISCartographic design

Must meet expectations for attendance and punctuality.Must have a demonstrable good attendance recordMust have a current instructor recommendation or referenceLocal candidates onlyMust

be eligible to work in the United States without SponsorshipDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Familiarity with basic operations in ESRI ArcGIS/ArcPro software including:

Creation and editing of feature classesAttribute editsLabeling and annotationProjection and scaleBasic cartographic methodologies

Familiarity with ArcGIS Online, Survey 123, and Field MapsPerks:
