Responsibilities:
The SAFe Agile Scrum Master must be able to lead and coordinate the teams activities in the successful delivery of working software products through an incremental approach. They are responsible for removing impediments (whether them or a team member) and championing the SAFe methodology (ceremonies and workflow). Support the team during Program Increment Planning, Daily Stand-Ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives. Implement and continually improve SAFe Agile practices. Leads the development effort by conveying the vision to an Agile Scrum delivery team, outlining and prioritizing work based on product owner guidance. Liaises with stakeholders ensuring their interests are included in the release, and the team to ensure the release is developed by the deadline and within budget. Serves as the Agile Scrum delivery team's primary contact and facilitator for information, work prioritization, and decision-making. Coordinates and monitors the Scrum process from initiation through delivery. Serves as liaisons between the product owner, development team, and management to ensure that all targets and requirements are met. Maintains product backlog and release plan and facilitate productivity by setting up meetings and removing impediments that may obstruct the pursuit of the team's sprint goals. Preserves flexibility and ability to rapidly respond to changes. The scrum master manages the process for how information is exchanged, which may include such things as creating project documentation i.e. DTR/AR slides. Provides expertise in the formulation of systems scope and objectives. Determines operational objectives by studying functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats. i.e. Metrics collection on project/task performance. Qualifications:
TS/SCI with Polygraph level clearance is required. BA/BS and 8+ years of experience or Masters and 6+ years of experience; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Demonstrated experience as a SAFe Agile Scrum Master in IT. Demonstrated experience leading Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, PI Planning, and Retrospectives. Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I, PMI-ACP, or SAFe). 1 year Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experience. Some experience with Jira and/or Microsoft DevOps. Experience on a Team developing software in the Federal Government (you do not need to be a developer). Target Salary Range: $135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
