This position complements the University’s instructional technological capabilities through software and hardware support for classroom technology. The incumbent serves as part of an instructional technology team.Examples of Work Performed

Installs and configures projectors, lecterns, computers, attendance scanners, multi-media players, and more.Coordinates scheduling of installations and repairs based on needs of the academic area and vendor availability.Develops and implements a plan to proactively and regularly ensure that classroom technology is functioning properly.Responds to trouble tickets concerning classroom technology, making repairs and adjustments directly and involving the vendor as needed.Provides training to instructors on the use of classroom technology.Provides technical instruction to University employees concerning software programs and hardware utilized in multimedia presentations.Reviews occupational related literature, keeping abreast of current technologies and software upgrades.Collaborates with other IT employees regarding hardware upgrades and problems.Performs related or similar duties as required or assigned.Essential Functions

These essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following. Additional essential functions may be identified and included by the hiring department.Provides hardware and software support for classroom technology.Provides technical assistance in the use of classroom technology.Maintains current knowledge of software available to enhance instruction and communication through multimedia presentations.Minimum Education/Experience

Education:Two (2) years of post-secondary level education.

ANDExperience:Six months of experience related to the above described duties.
