This position develops and executes marketing plans and promotions for initiatives, projects, and activities. The incumbent develops and implements marketing strategies; performs market research to enhance effectiveness of programs and activities; advises department about communication tools, messages, and approaches to marketing initiatives; and manages the production and distribution of marketing materials.Examples of Work Performed

Creates marketing plans and promotions for initiatives, projects, and activities.Executes goals and strategies identified in strategic planning as they pertain to recruitment, promotion, communication, and outreach.Develops relationships with vendors as necessary to develop and implement the department’s marketing plan.Advises department about communication tools, messages, and approaches to marketing initiatives.Provides marketing advice and direction to assist in promoting programs and events.Conducts market research and develops strategies to enhance effectiveness of programs and activities.Serves as the liaison between the department and various organizations, groups, or vendors.Builds relationships with clients to encourage growth and effectiveness of programs and activities.Manages the production and distribution of marketing materials for the department.Stays abreast of current projects and publications, as necessary, to produce appropriate marketing materials.Proofs and edits deliverables according to established guidelines.Generates brochures, posters, invitations, programs and other forms of advertising to promote the organization and its services.Defines and develops measurement models to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing initiatives.Tracks metrics and prepares reports for leadership.Performs similar or related duties as assigned, or required.Essential Functions

Education:Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Business or a related field from an accredited four-year college or university.ANDExperience:Three (3) years of experience related to the above described duties.Substitution Statement:Related experience may be substituted for education, on a basis set forth and approved by the Department of Human Resources.Interview Requirements: Any candidate who is called for an interview must notify the Department of Equal Opportunity/Regulatory Compliance in writing of any reasonable accommodation needed prior to the date of the interview.Salary/Wage Information
