Leveraging proprietary design methodologies and state-of-the-art modeling software, we tackle complex site-specific obstacles head-on, reducing construction timelines and costs associated with electrical distribution and transmission improvements.As our Overhead (OH) Transmission Engineer, you will be a design engineer for new and ongoing T&D projects. You will support our growing Overhead (OH) Electric Transmission & Distribution practice. You will be part of our dynamic team working on feasibility routing, design, and execution of high voltage overhead transmission and distribution design projects (12kV to 500kV); you will be intimately involved in all facets of transmission and distribution line routing and design while you grow your career with us.This is a hybrid role (3x per week in office) based out of our San Diego, CA office.Join us in embracing innovative solutions that pave the way for a resilient energy future.Responsibilities

Routing and design of transmission and distribution lines utilizing the Power Line Systems software suite including PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and TOWER.Structure analysis, general arrangements, and loading trees, developing design criteria and specifications for the T&D line design and procurement of materials, project cost estimating, and quality control reviews.Should be familiar with industry codes and standards and have experience as the technical lead on projects.Will prepare drawings and documentation for construction of transmission line projects.Providing leadership, guidance and instruction to less experienced staff members.Regularly meets and corresponds with clients or outside personnel.Some marketing responsibilities.Qualifications

BS degree in Civil, Structural, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited program.3+ years of experience in 12kV to 500kV line design and working knowledge and/or expertise in Power Line Systems software suite (i.e., PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, TOWER, etc.) required.EIT certification is required.Professional Engineer (PE) certification is a plus.The pay range for this California position is $90,000 to $130,000 per year; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
