Job Overview:We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Quality Assurance Lead to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products and services, from development to deployment. The Quality Assurance Lead will play a key role in driving quality and reliability throughout the entire product lifecycle. Assist with tasks related to quality of finished products, raw ingredients, and packaging materials. Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and food safety practices are followed. Assure company quality standards by monitoring required plans (such as HACCP, GMPs).
Duties:
Lead, guide and support Quality Assurance Technicians with daily tasks. Train and develop technicians in their roles.
Monitor and follow the HACCP Plan to ensure food safety during assembly.
Make decisions involving product quality and food safety.
Analyze quality data to recommend quality and process improvements.
Ensure calibration of instruments to provide accurate monitoring and recording of critical control points.
Coordinate with production on regulatory and quality issues, and document corrective actions.
Train associates and ensure GMPs are being followed.
Inspect and maintain areas for sanitation.
Perform QA Technician duties as necessary.
Collect samples and ship per R&D request or as necessary.
Participate in 1st production runs as well as pilot runs.
Perform non-conformances as required.
Delegate tasks to QA technicians.
Perform direct observations of QA technicians.
Manage quality system through tablet/computer.
Lead sensory program.
Interact with all levels of organization.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Ability to operate standard lab equipment.
Excellent time management and task prioritization abilities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Be detailed and organized.
Problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Knowledge of Food Safety fundamentals is desirable.
The ability to read and understand specifications and other technical documents.
Strong attention to detail; data and sample collection, accuracy in paperwork.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
Ability to use iPad/tablet.
Good decision-making and reasoning skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

REQUIRED TRAINING
This position requires training on Good Manufacturing Practices critical to the effective implementation of the Food Safety Plan and the maintenance of food safety, quality, and process efficiency. Training is also required on how to identify food safety issues such as temperature control, cross-contamination, sanitation, and cleanliness of the lines, etc.

Pay: $24.73 - $27.70 per hour
