From advocating for seat belts, air bags and graduated driving laws, to being an industry leader in pricing sophistication, telematics, and, more recently, device and identity protection.Job DescriptionThe Senior Trial Attorney represents insured and the Company in the defense of bodily injury and property damage lawsuits, subrogation, and Allstate Financial cases. The position prepares for and conducts hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions.Key ResponsibilitiesConducts depositions and examinations under oath and prepares summary documents.Prepares witnesses and clients for depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and trials including expert witnesses.Keep claim business partners updated on status (initial client contact, initial litigation plan, recurring contacts, strategy conferences, pre-trial, etc.).Contacts clients to discuss their case and answer any questions.Review new file assignments, all documentary evidence, and approve initial pleadings, propound discovery, and/or develop strategy.Investigate and pursue subrogation litigation as appropriate.Draft post-trial motions.Try and/or arbitrate cases by preparing motions, motions in limine and summary documents in limine.Conducts settlement/dispositive proceedings (e.g., mediations, arbitrations, etc.).Prepares and conducts court appearances (matter management conferences, hearings, status conferences, etc.).Ability to work and travel within Wall, NJ area.Education4 year Bachelors Degree (Required).Juris Doctor (Required).Member and in good standing with the New Jersey State Bar.Experience5 or more years of experience (Preferred).Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis job does not have supervisory duties.SkillsCustomer Centricity, Digital Literacy, Documentation Review, Evidence Gathering, Inclusive Leadership, Learning Agility, Legal Research, Legal Writing, Litigation, Results-Oriented.CompensationCompensation offered for this role is $85,600.00 - 152,650.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.Joining our team isn't just a job - it's an opportunity.
