The successful candidate will possess the experience and skills necessary to offer innovative instruction for our MPH Program with the potential to contribute to other degree programs that we offer. The Program in Public Health holds accreditation by both the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) for the MPH, and the Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME) for the MHA.The MPH program is primarily delivered in a

traditional face-to-face modality with some hybrid and online courses

depending on the concentration. Areas of specialization include community health, health policy and management, advanced epidemiology and biostatistics, a generalist option for clinical students, and a new concentration in climate solutions and health. The successful candidate should contribute to our teaching mission in topic areas related to quantitative methods including but not limited to biostatistics, epidemiology, data analytics, and research methods.The position is

primarily teaching-focused , with some expectation of contributing to departmental and institutional service (87.5% teaching, 12.5% service). Responsibilities include teaching graduate courses and career advising, including faculty supervision with applied practice. The teaching load, to include advising, will be equivalent to 7 courses over each 12-month period. We are seeking candidates who are enthusiastic about teaching and have experience in implementing pedagogical strategies for a wide range of public health topics.The ideal candidate for this position will have experience teaching public health courses at the graduate level in an accredited school or program environment (CEPH); strong communication skills; evidence of successful collaboration with an instructional team; the ability to incorporate diversity, cultural competency, and/or social justice into teaching and service; and willingness to adhere to and contribute to accreditation requirements for competency-based curricula and assessments. Continuing professional development participation is expected from the instructor: there will be opportunities to attend conferences, workshops, online tutorials, and to join professional development opportunities and/or membership in professional organizations.Salary:

The salary for this position is $95,000-$115,000 per year.QualificationsRequired Qualifications:Doctoral degree, PhD or DrPH, (or foreign equivalent) in public health or related field or Master's degree (foreign equivalent or higher) and at least two years of experience in teaching biostatistics, epidemiology or data analysis. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. Experience working with diverse student populations.Preferred Qualifications:Demonstrated or potential for excellence in teaching.
