What You'll DoData-Driven Decision-Making: Utilize
data analysis
techniques to extract actionable insights. Making informed recommendations for product selection and placement. Cre ate fact-based selling stories
for presentations to buyers.Draw key insights and business recommendations on
distribution, assortment, pricing,
and
promotion by analysis
of customer & syndicated dataIdentify growth opportunities
and make
recommendations
on space allocation, merchandising fixtures/solutions, assortment, POG flow, etc.Reporting and Communication: Prepare regular reports on
category performance, market trends, and KPIs -and present findings to key stakeholders, including retailers and internal senior management.Maintains advanced knowledge of available databases and how to obtain, retrieve, and generate reports as needed.Continuous Learning and Professional Development: Stay updated on
industry best practices, tools, and technologies . Upskill in data
analytics ,
category management, and market research . Foster a culture of innovation and excellence within the team.Stays up to date on the latest trends and helps to establish "Best Practice" methodologies in all steps of the category development process. Makes recommendations to enable continuous improvement.Synthesize
actionable insights
using retailer data, internal/syndicated data sources, incrementality data, and shopper insights.Responsibilities
What You'll Need To Succeed
2-5 years as a Category Analyst with experience in CPG/RetailerStrong PC skills, including proficiency in Access,
Excel , PowerPoint, and Word.Experience working with standard data resources and solutions (e.g.,
Syndicated POS, Panel, Retail Link, Madrid ).Ability to understand and
utilize category data
in conjunction with Space Management software and reporting tools.Comfortable working independently and handling sensitive information.Thorough understanding of
merchandising principles .Tendency to be a
proactive self-starter
with a drive to
take ownership
of projects and see through to completion with Problem-solving capabilitiesQualifications
Education
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant work experiencePhysical
