As The Director of Human Resources, essential responsibilities include:

Provide regular guidance to management to develop and execute strategic vision and objectives through quality and productive human resources.

Collaborate with management to develop a human resources strategic plan, including human resources and learning and development programs and initiatives that enhance the vision and objectives of STAR. Work with HR team to implement and maintain plan.

Direct the development and implementation of talent acquisition strategies and recruitment programs to ensure STAR recruits top talent in the marketplace.

Oversee continuous development, management, and deployment of compensation practices that are supportive of organization objectives.

Provide leadership and support to the learning & development team on execution of strategic initiatives.

Assess and monitor HRIS systems and capabilities to ensure the organization is maximizing its tools, resources, and taking advantage of emerging technologies.

Continually monitor, assess and enhance performance management activities across the organization.

Remain informed of trends and new developments within employment and people-focused regulations and initiatives, as well as within the banking industry, specifically.

Participate in various professional and civic organizations.

Provide employees at all levels practical, timely, and contemporary consulting and coaching human resources services.

Lead and support recruiting initiatives for executive talent.

Manage and provide executive oversight of and participate in employee focused initiatives and councils, including, but not limited to human resources steering committee and rewards, recognition and feedback.

Consult with leaders to create and maintain succession plans.

Provide development plans and opportunities for all employees.

Manage, develop, and coach HR staff including hiring, performance management, setting and monitoring annual and quarterly goals, and training.

Oversee and report on the delivery of human resources and learning & development initiatives through key performance metrics.

Partner with legal counsel to oversee, conduct and/or assist with employee investigations, and recommend and/or execute a resolution.

Proven ability to communicate across all levels of the organization, including developing and executing comprehensive communication plans.

Ability to formulate data-driven strategy.

Ability to advocate for the organization and employees at the highest levels with professionalism and resilience.

Proven ability to manage multiple issues concurrently.

Demonstrated ability to effectively interface with people of different views, opinions, and perspectives with professionalism and civility.

Understanding of current HR challenges in the marketplace and contemporary HR practices and issues.

Well-developed consultative skills and the ability to mediate and resolve complex problems and issues.

Knowledge of local, state and federal regulatory requirements related to functional areas of human resources.

Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite products skills.

Education Required
