Job Type Full-timeDescriptionRacquets & Club Shop ManagerReporting relationship: You will report directly to the Director of Squash and the Director of Tennis.Responsibilities: As the Racquets and Club Shop Coordinator, you are expected to act as the hospitality hub for all Field Club racquets and Shop activities. You will be the primary liaison between the Club's tennis and squash departments and the Club's membership. Responsibilities in this role are described, but not limited to, the following priorities: HOSPITALITY: Get to know members & their children by nameSupport squash and tennis pros administratively: Control and manage play, ensure that all members and guests are checked in and billed properlyMaintain billing charges of members and guests; submits billing charges to accounting department in a timely manner (prior to the end of the month)Answer any and all member questions that ariseSchedule courts for members & guestsUpdate club website for all racquets & shop programming Send flyers out for tournaments and squash/tennis events Work with clubhouse on food and beverage needs as well for eventsHandle member inquiries about booking of courts and lessonsManage the lost & found sections of the racquets buildingsConduct quality control & ensure cleanliness of the gym facilitiesAnswer questions concerning club services and happeningsRemind Racquets playing members of rules and regulations governing the Racquets courts usageAttend staff meetings as requestedComplete other tasks as assigned by the Director of Tennis and Director of SquashSHOP:Work with the Tennis & Squash professionals, as well as Club administration, to plan, order, and maintain a tight assortment of racquets and club essentialsManage team clothing orders: merchandising (with team input), ordering, and distributing the itemsWork with Tennis and Squash professionals to select and purchase products for tournamentsDevelop and Maintain Shop displaysMonitor the receiving and checking-in of all merchandiseProcess all paperwork and coding on invoicesMaintain all inventory SKU controls and for all items in inventory and pricingMonitor procedures for special orders and returnsAssist members with merchandise selectionsAssist with the selection of pro shop staff, responsible for training, supervising, scheduling and evaluating pro shop staff.Plan, promote and markets special events and salesOperates the POS (point of sale system), club email systems, the club website and Excel/Word documents and spreadsheetsRequirementsStrong communication skills and comfortable around PeopleProficient in Excel and WordRetail/merchandising experience helpful but not essentialAn ability to multitask and work with a group of professionals
