Job Summary

UIC is seeking an

IAM Architect Developer

to join our Identity and Access Management (IAM) team. This role is responsible for campus-wide Identity and Access Management infrastructure, including maintenance and upper-tiered support of current data systems and their myriad interactions internally and externally, as well as ongoing re-architecting of systems. The IAM Architect Developer will define enterprise-wide standards and policies regarding emerging technologies and provide a control framework to ensure adherence and security. Availability for on-call support responsibilities on evenings, holidays, and weekends is required for emergencies and to maintain service operations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Work collaboratively with Systems and Development teams to develop and maintain our systems.Develop, modify, and maintain/code applications for system authentication.Regularly monitor systems, verifying proper functionality of data interactions.Ensure IAM processes adhere to security and university policies.Assist project teams with technical issues.Conduct research to enable continuing innovation in the IAM infrastructure.Review and recommend efficient approaches to IAM tasks.Provide advanced support for operational functions of IAM systems.Troubleshoot and debug environment and infrastructure problems.Write and modify technical documentation.Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Required:Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.Minimum 5 years of professional IT experience in IT Development.Demonstrated experience in Linux, Perl, Java, JavaScript, XML, PostgreSQL.Experience with IBM DB2 database system.

Preferred Qualifications:7-10 years of experience in developing and/or modifying applications.Strong programming/technical background.Understanding of industry standard SSO technologies and protocols.Scripting, programming, network support, and system administration utilizing Linux, Java, and Perl.Experience with Sailpoint IGA tool and IAM solutions in a cloud environment.Ability to communicate complex concepts effectively.
