As a senior electrical designer or senior professional engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on Henderson's mission critical engineering team. You will be exclusively focused on growing our mission critical facility design capabilities, as well as designing and re-designing data centers for our clients across the United States. The most qualified candidates for this role will have experience designing large-scaled, 30+ megawatt data center sites.

Key Responsibilities:

Design of core and shell layouts, data halls, and redesigns of data centers.

Contributes to strategic decisions involving technical expertise and development needs in response to current and future industry demands.

BIM Mapping.

Prepares or modifies reports, plans, and designs for projects.

Evaluates products for their application.

Provides technical guidance to electrical designers.

Identifies and seeks to fill gaps in industry and/or discipline knowledge on a continuous basis.

Maintains knowledge and understanding of industry software, including Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office Products.

Assists Technical Managers and Directors with establishing and implementing goals, policies, objectives, and standards at the practice and/or sector level.

Influences the development of tools, resources, and company practices.

Implements and reinforces design and engineering standards at the team or practice level.

Oversees the quality of projects and designs through the quality review process and regular check-ins.

Research and reviews new products, industry trends, and evolving codes and standards.

Understands and applies Henderson's design guidelines, standards, policies, and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in relevant field of engineering (i.e., mechanical, electrical, fire protection, or architectural) and 15 years of relevant experience.

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.

Expert knowledge and proficiency in engineering design, A&E industry, codes, design guides, and standards.

Working knowledge of earned value, contracts, and construction processes and methods required.

Working knowledge of Revit and Bluebeam Revu required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Understanding of mission critical standard equipment elements.

Experience designing large scaled data centers from start to finish.

Experience with medium voltage designs.

Professional Engineering (PE) license highly preferred.

Completion of FE exam, LEED, and/or WELL accreditation highly preferred.

Salary ranges:

Los Angeles Salary Range: $119,096 - $178,644

Las Vegas Salary Range: $107,802 - $161,703

Denver Salary Range: $112,936 - $169,404

New York Salary Range: $125,256 - $187,884

Philadelphia Salary Range: $112,936 - $169,404

Remote: $97,535 - $187,884
