About Element Resources

Element Resources is a growing build, own, and operate (BOO) developer of large-scale Green Hydrogen projects in the western United States. We produce green hydrogen by combining renewable electricity with water via electrolysis, and deliver zero-carbon hydrogen, or its derivatives, to our customers. Element selectively invests in hydrogen-related technologies that enable production of zero carbon fuel. It holds patents for large capacity, low-cost underground hydrogen storage, and advanced, lower-cost hydrogen electrolyzer catalysts.

Position Description

Element Resources is seeking a Director of Sales to lead the sales function for our Clean Energy Centers. The role will lead all market-facing and client relationship activities. The role is both an individual contributor responsible for revenue and a part of a leadership team reporting to the CEO.

Responsibilities

Drive the advancement of high-potential sales leads into customers by building strong relationships and effectively managing the sales pipeline.Negotiate terms and conditions with customers to finalize contracts and close sales.Manage customer relationships and present Element’s progress on new projects, collect feedback, and obtain information to assist and accelerate market entry.Deepen and broaden market penetration and boost sales collaboration with hydrogen resellers and channel partners.Collaborate with ecosystem partners to create a full hydrogen ecosystem for customers.Lead and mentor the sales team.Skills & Qualifications

6+ years experience working in progressively responsible roles in sales, marketing, and business development.Demonstrable experience in the energy industry and/or knowledge of the Green Hydrogen industry is highly desired.Experience in California energy markets is a must-have.Demonstrated experience with selling into large enterprises.Proven technical and communication skills to lead engagements with internal and external stakeholders.BS/BA in Business, Sales, or relevant field.Job Location:

Candidates can be based anywhere in the US but preference is for candidates already located in Southern California. This is a hybrid role; candidates are expected to work in the San Diego office up to a maximum of 2 weeks a month (when not traveling to customer locations).

Travel

Up to 50% travel.

Compensation And Benefits

Element offers a competitive compensation package including base salary, performance-based bonus, and a competitive commission structure. Base salary is targeted to be $125,000 - $150,000 with total annual compensation expected to be between $175,000 - $225,000. This is a leadership role that will be eligible for company equity.
