The role will lead all market facing and client relationship activities. Role is both an individual contributor responsible for revenue and a part of a leadership team reporting to the CEO.Responsibilities:Drive the advancement of high-potential sales leads into customers by building strong relationships and effectively managing the sales pipelineNegotiate terms and conditions with customers to finalize contracts and close salesManage customer relationships and present Element’s progress on new projects, collect feedback, and obtain information to assist and accelerate market entryDeepen and broaden market penetration and boost sales collaboration with hydrogen resellers and channel partnersCollaborate with ecosystem partners to create full hydrogen ecosystem for customersLead and mentor the sales teamSkills & Qualifications:6+ years experience working in progressively responsible roles in sales, marketing and business developmentDemonstrable experience in the energy industry and/or knowledge of Green Hydrogen industry is highly desiredExperience in California energy markets is a must haveDemonstrated experience with selling into large enterprisesProven technical and communication skills to lead engagements with internal and external stakeholdersBS/BA in Business, Sales or relevant fieldJob Location:Candidates can be based anywhere in the US but preference is for candidates already located in Southern California. This is a hybrid role, candidates are expected to work in the San Diego office up to a maximum of 2 weeks a month (when not traveling to customer locations)Travel:Up to 50% travel.Compensation and Benefits:Element offers a competitive compensation package including base salary, performance-based bonus and a competitive commission structure. Base salary is targeted to be $ 125,000 - $150,000 with a total annual compensation expected to between $175,000-$225,000. This is a leadership role that will be eligible for company equity.
