Senior Accountant with Great Advancement Opportunity

We are hiring an experienced, full-charge accountant with strong communication skills to join this unique and fulfilling non-profit healthcare organization. You will have the opportunity to learn new systems and skills while advancing your career working directly under a CFO/CPA mentor. Your progress and assignments will only be limited by your own ambition and talent, giving you the opportunity to advance rapidly.
Initial Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate, timely financial statements and assist with the month-end close process.
Prepare and post monthly journal entries.
Maintain prepaid, accruals and other schedules.
Conduct monthly and quarterly balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
Record and reconcile cash, credit card and insurance payments.
Analyze financial statements and prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and analyses.
Prepare for the annual audit and work with outside CPAs.
Exposure to endowment fund and investment management; capital project management; donor and grant accounting; board relations and more are envisioned for this position.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in accounting required
5+ years' experience in general accounting, CPA or CPA candidate preferred
Demonstrated career successes and advancement required
Strong written and oral communication skills
Investment, healthcare, IT, real estate, purchasing, project or insurance experience preferred
