Software Developer, SME

to join our team in the

DMV area.

We have opportunities in the

Washington, DC area

as well as

Northern Virginia and Maryland.

If you are looking for an opportunity in any of those locations, we encourage you to apply.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Collaborates with management, departments, and customers to identify end user requirements and specifications.Design algorithms and flowcharts to create new software programs and systems and produce efficient and elegant code based on requirements.Test and deploy programs and applications, and troubleshoot, debug, maintain, and improve existing software.Compile and assess user feedback to improve software performance.Observe user feedback to recommend improvements to existing software products.Develop technical documentation to guide future software development projects.Supervises and mentors subordinate project staff. They engage and work with other Software Developer IVs.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Software Development or a related discipline.Seven or more (7+) years of position-specific relevant experience.Hold one of the following certifications within 6 months of commencing work on the Task Order:CCNA-SecurityCySA+GICSPGSECSecurity+ CECNDSSCPIf a candidate does not have a degree at all, four (4) additional years of experience are required.If a candidate holds an Associates degree rather than a Bachelors degree, two (2) additional years of experience are required.Preferred Qualifications:Master's degree in Software Development or related discipline.Experience in an Agile development environment.Relevant industry standard certifications.Clearance Requirements:This role requires an active

TS/SCI clearance .Physical Requirements:Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time.Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel.Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer.The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
