Operate powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas within the facility.Responsibilities:Forklift Certified and able to drive Stand-Up and Sit-Down forklift.Checking loads are securePerforming daily equipment checks such as recharging the trucks battery and pre-trip inspectionsQualifications:Forklift certification per OSHA standards (the minimum level of direct experience in a similar position) 1-3 yearsHigh School diploma or equivalentGood math, language and reading skills; basic computer skills may be requiredHigh degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environmentFollow instructions for operating equipment safelyExecute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe mannerMaintain a clean & safe environmentThe forklift operator requires satisfactory completion of a forklift training program. Physical demands and abilitiesRegularly sitting or standing on a powered industrial truckFrequently lift up to 40 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time if on the stand up liftHaving a good sense of balanceHaving good eye-hand-foot coordinationAbility to assess weights and judge distances and heightsPay Range:USD $15.00 - USD $15.00 /Hr.
