Job SummaryThe final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

The salary range for this position is $91.17 - $118.30 (Hourly Rate).

Required Qualifications

Less than six (6) months work experience as a Nurse Practitioner.

FNP-C or FNP-BC certification.

Minimum of two (2) years previous inpatient RN experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Orthopaedic experience.

License/Certification

California driver's license (CDL) if required for position.

Current national certification from an accepted certifying agency and provide by first day of work. Accepted Certifications for this position: FNP-C or FNP-BC.

Current and active RN and NP and Furnishing license in California.

Complete a BRN recognized graduate master's degree program as a nurse practitioner.

Obtain an active and/or transferable DEA license to California and provide evidence by 90th day of clinical practice.

Submit enrollment with CMS Medicare and Medicaid through credentialing by first clinical day.

Current AHA BLS.

State regulation requires that you have a supervising physician to practice.

Incumbents with less than 6 months of NP experience will be hired as a Nurse Practitioner 1.

UCSF Medical Center and Campus requires certain healthcare providers to be credentialed. In most cases this is done through its Office of Medical Affairs & Governance (OMAG) prior to the first working day. Credentialing and approval of the Standardized Procedures takes between 60-90 days but can vary.
