What you'll be doing?Technical Architecture

Lead the design and architecture of an on-premise technical infrastructure stack, ensuring they align with the overall technology strategy of the organization.Participate in the design, planning, and execution of cloud migration and data warehousing strategiesExecute projects to eliminate technical debt and create reliable, available, and resilient systems.Test platform and infrastructure changes thoroughly using techniques such as load simulation, test environments, production pilots, and audit modes.Identify and execute opportunities for architectural improvement including but not limited to new technologies, better methods, and innovative approaches.Provide technical leadership and guidance to system engineering teams to ensure best practices are followed.Assist with other duties as assignedTechnical Proficiency

Utilize strong knowledge of Unix-like operating systems and Windows operating systems to support secure and performant configurations.Manage relational databases to ensure data integrity, security, and performance optimization.Configure, manage, and optimize virtualization platforms such as Proxmox, VMWare or cloudMonitoring

Establish and improve environment-wide monitoring to alert engineering teams of performance and availability problems as proactively as possible.Security

Implement infrastructure improvement projects and new systems according to secure design principles and consistent with SDS security policies.Identify gaps and opportunities for security improvement within the SDS environment.Communication & Collaboration

Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Prepare and deliver high-quality technical documentation and reports.Facilitate meetings and discussions, ensuring clear communication and understanding among team members.Professional Development

Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.Mentor junior developers and engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.Job Outcomes

Technical Skills

Expert-level proficiency with Debian Linux and Windows operating systems and related foundational concepts:

Strong knowledge and experience with MySQL relational databases (e.g., MySQL) including:
