What you'll be doing?

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Systems Administrator to join our IT team. This role will be responsible for managing and supporting our IT infrastructure while serving as a technical leader and mentor to junior team members. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in systems administration, possess excellent leadership skills, and demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving. This position will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing technology solutions, ensuring a secure, efficient, and high-performing environment.

Technical Leadership:

Lead and guide the systems administration team in maintaining and supporting servers, networks, and infrastructure.Serve as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues, providing advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution.Develop and implement best practices, policies, and procedures to ensure high standards of system reliability, performance, and security.Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation, and drive initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.Systems Administration:

Manage and maintain on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure, including servers, virtualization environments, storage, and networking.Oversee the design and deployment of new systems and technologies to support business requirements and strategic goals.Ensure compliance with security policies, data protection regulations, and industry standards.Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system architecture, configurations, and SOPs.Mentorship & Team Development:

Mentor junior systems administrators, providing training and guidance to support their professional development.Delegate tasks effectively and ensure proper knowledge transfer within the team.Lead regular team meetings and technical discussions to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing.Project Management & Strategic Initiatives:

Lead and participate in IT projects, such as infrastructure upgrades, cloud migrations, and system integrations.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement technology solutions that align with organizational objectives.Contribute to the development of IT strategies and roadmaps, providing insights on emerging technologies and industry trends.What we're looking for?

Required skills:

Bachelor's degree

in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.5+ years

of experience in systems administration, with at least

2+ years

in a senior or lead role.Strong expertise in Windows/Linux server administration, Active Directory, virtualization, and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, firewalls, security principles, and best practices.Proven experience in designing and implementing complex infrastructure solutions.Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), or similar are a plus.Key Competencies:Leadership Skills : Ability to motivate and lead a technical team, driving results through collaboration and knowledge sharing.Problem Solving : Analytical mindset with the ability to diagnose complex issues and deliver innovative solutions.Project Management : Experience managing projects from concept to implementation, ensuring timelines and objectives are met.Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Physical Requirements:Ability to lift and transport moderately heavy objects such as servers and networking equipment.On-call availability and some weekend hours for maintenance or project support.
