Manager, Public Safety Communications

What you will do:Ensure oversight of the administration, maintenance, and service of the Authority's Public Safety Communications environment.Make sure systems run efficiently, optimized, and utilized correctly.Interface with all Authority Operating units to meet their radio communications needs.Manage representation and communication with stakeholders including Motorola, FCC, partner agencies, and vendors for policy, issue resolution, and emergency communications.What you offer:Bachelor’s degree in management information systems, computer science, or equivalent professional experience, with strong written and verbal communication skills.7+ years’ experience in systems maintenance, operations, end-user support, with expert-level knowledge of 800MHz trunked and conventional radio technology.Current and valid driver’s license.Proficiency in data communications protocols, IBM compatible PCs, common peripherals, and Motorola systems (XTS/XTL/APX radios, CPS, UASI radios), with expertise in 800 MHz trunked system configuration.
