Position Title: Executive Director

Responsible to: The Board of Directors of Positive Results Downtown Saginaw (PRIDE in Saginaw, Inc.), under the direction of the President.

General:

Positive Results Downtown Saginaw is dedicated to supporting positive cultural, social, recreational, and economic impacts of Saginaw and the larger region. The Executive Director is responsible for overall administration of the corporation’s day-to-day activities and works closely with the membership of the Board of Directors to carry out work assignments in a timely and efficient manner.

Responsibilities of the Position:

Plan, implement, and evaluate all scheduled Positive Results Downtown Saginaw events using feedback from stakeholders to execute improvements as needed.

Facilitate fundraising via grants, sponsorships, donations, and other opportunities.

Recruit, orient, schedule, and supervise volunteers.

Oversee and report on the organization’s results for the Board of Directors.

Coordinate and attend Board of Directors, Executive, and all Event Committee meetings.

Develop and distribute external communications, including grants, marketing materials, publications, press releases, social media content, and website information.

Administer day-to-day activities of the office, including clerical duties, answering phones, correspondence, preparing checks, daily bookkeeping, budgeting, and financial recordkeeping.

Act as a spokesperson on behalf of the Board of Directors.

Lead efforts to create new alliances, partnerships, and collaborations identifying opportunities for growth and expansion.

Serve as a visible community leader, representing Positive Results Downtown on various boards, committees, and community events.

Perform all other duties as may be assigned by the Board of Directors.

Skills Required:

Computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite; QuickBooks online preferred.

Grant writing and fundraising.

Strong communication skills.

Ability to work well with partners, stakeholders, and the public.

Ability to exercise good judgment to make well-informed decisions by considering all facts and circumstances.

Job Types:

Full-time, Part-time

Expected hours:

20 – 30 per week

Experience:

Conflict management: 1 year (Preferred)

Microsoft Office: 1 year (Preferred)

Ability to Commute:

Saginaw, MI (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

Saginaw, MI: Relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:

25% (Preferred)
