As an Airfreight Specialist you will be responsible for the movement of our customer's air shipments. You will coordinate and be the main point of contact for our airfreight shipments from initial customer contact to final destination.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate and ensure timely bookings with airline on customer behalfPrepares export documentation, including entry into computer operations program, in accordance to country requirementsPreparation of Certificate of Origin, Cargo Manifest, NAFTA Certificate, AWB, ITAR, Hazardous Material, Perishable, and any other documents required by the customerCompliant filing of AES (automated export system) with US customsResponsible for timely completion of export documents and coordinate with both customer, warehouse, airlines, gateway operations, and dispatch for timely movement of cargoKeep communication open with customer and overseas offices in regards to shipment movementFollow up with airline to keep track of departure information and updatesResponsible for accounting (costs vs revenue) on the shipmentAudit charges for accuracy prior to sending to accounting for paymentConfirm payment responsibility (depending on terms) and audit credit status if neededEnsure customer profiles are accurate and updatedMeet all Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) assigned for operations and customer serviceFollow all best practices set by corporatePerform additional duties as assigned

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities

Skills / Requirements:

Exceptional customer service skillsDetail oriented and strong follow-up skillsProficient with Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Air freight industry experience preferredCargo Wise systems knowledge is a plus
