As managed by EX Utah Development, Extells Deer Valley East Village, located in the MIDA Project Area in Wasatch County, Utah, is underway to become North Americas newest world-class alpine village since 1981. The base village will include the development of multiple hotels, ski-in/ski-out estate lots, distinguished townhomes and chalets, and the adjoining ski lands will have an array of new ski lifts and gondolas. This luxury resort village with over 200,000 square-feet of commercial will set the new standard for excellence among the worlds alpine resorts.

Summary of Responsibilities:

The Vice President, Development oversees all aspects of the development process. Working in close collaboration with senior management, development and project teams, joint venture partners, contractors and similar, the Vice Presidents role is to ensure that project milestones, budgets and quality standards are met. The Vice President oversees the review and coordination of design documents; reviews and evaluates proformas, financial analyses, project cost projections and monthly reports for investors and management; and oversees contract administration for development initiatives. The Vice President also prepares government agency program applications, site plans and other permit submittals; tracks and coordinates development commitments and associated entitlements; monitors the release of funds to consultants, contractors, and vendors; and serves as owners representative as required. This position shall also participate in the process of sourcing new development/acquisition opportunities; interacts directly with senior management in anticipating and solving problems in an ongoing effort to minimize crisis management on all development matters; and performs other duties as assigned.

Summary of Requirements:

Ideal candidates for the Vice President, Development position hold a bachelors degree from an accredited college or university; a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience in real estate development, business management or related in the development industry; significant transaction experience; expertise in managing projects of similar scope and size; extensive experience in the execution of residential and commercial development projects; project financing experience; and a successful record of managing and leading multi-disciplinary project teams.

This position requires effective leadership, project management, communication (oral and written), professional presentation, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and administrative skills. The ideal candidate effectively manages multiple and competing priorities without losing sight of global goals; and is motivated to produce consistently high-quality results. The Vice President is required to think strategically, creatively, and logically and present solid recommendations to senior management in the decision-making process. This position further requires the successful ability to perform both independently and as a team member with a high attentiveness to detail; the ability to respond rapidly to changes in the market; the ability to review and understand architectural drawings; and proficient skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), Bluebeam and related. An advanced degree in Real Estate, Finance or Business Management is preferred.
