Job OverviewJobs Plus Program Director: Operating under the guidance of the Executive Director, our Project Director will assume the role of supervising program advancement and managing the program's day-to-day operations. The Project Director's key responsibilities encompass coordinating professional training and refresher sessions for all program personnel. Furthermore, the Project Director takes charge of overseeing partner contributions, establishing connections with community partners, and maintaining active engagement with them to ensure their continued involvement in the program.Purpose of JobCoordinate and manage program services and activities, in association with the Jackson Housing Authority Jobs Plus Initiative (JPI), using the JPI Model. Establish working relationships with grant partners and community organizations, utilizing their expertise and experience as resources to provide Employment-related Services, Financial Incentives and Community Support for Work to the residents of Lincoln Courts public housing development. Coordinate functions associated with outreach efforts to partners as to their capability of fulfilling an intentional role predicated on concepts derived from Jobs Plus Pilot Programs. This consists of coordinating direct employment assistance, ongoing support, advocacy, and guidance to public housing residents, while maintaining a distinct focus on career goals, improving employability skills, and attaining/maintaining employment. Coordinate grant functions to create job opportunities and assist suitable candidates with career paths/employment.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesEmployment-related Services – Develop, coordinate and manage all employment program services and activities for persons 18-61 years, in coordination with the American Job Center’s goals and objectives.Develop and coordinate community capacity building career counseling and planning.Knowledge of JobKnowledge of the principles and practices of job development and employment services.Knowledge of principles and practices of career counseling and planning.Knowledge of career pathways for persons 18 years and older.Knowledge of human service, health, court, and criminal justice systems’ program, regulations, and procedures.Knowledge of a wide range of issues, people, and institutions.ExperienceBachelor’s degree in social sciences, education, business administration, and/or five (5) years of closely related work experience in job development services, human services, or social work, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess a valid Tennessee Driver’s License.Job Type:
