MALCOLM X COLLEGEMalcolm X College is seeking an Executive Director of Accreditation & Compliance. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with each accrediting agency and directing the implementation of necessary changes to maintain accreditation. The Director of Accreditation and Compliance will also provide leadership to the college in the development, production, delivery and continuing evaluation of the accreditation model.The Office of Accreditation and Compliance (OAC) serves as a resource on regional and specialized regulatory and accreditation matters for all Malcolm X College (MXC) academic programs.The mission of Malcolm X College is to provide accessible liberal arts and health-focused education that fosters personal and professional achievement. To fulfill this mission, we focus on the following core values: accountability, community, diversity, empowerment, learning, and respect.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:Directs and manages college and program accreditation activities, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, standards and processes as outlined in the college accreditation model and in the various program accreditation standards.Provides directives to Program Directors to ensure adherence to program standards.Provides accreditation and compliance guidance and directive on creating and implementing standards of accreditation to meet accreditation criteria.Enforces the standards of the accrediting bodies by ensuring that various program directors oversee, lead and maintain continuous compliance with program accreditation standards.Directs and leads the development and execution of the college and program accreditation business model.Serves as a subject matter expert for the college regarding various accrediting agency standards, federal and regulatory standards and licensures. Recommends and ensures the implementation of programmatic and curricular changes mandated by the accrediting bodies to ensure the department and faculty are in compliance with accreditation standards.Implements faculty development initiatives to comply with program accreditation requirements.Provides recommendations for necessary actions if accreditation is compromised.Attends conferences, professional meetings, workshops, training on self-study, and classes required to maintain or enhance competencies needed for professional development. Effectively shares best practices and lessons learned.Performs other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Health Care, Health Administration, Public Health, Nursing or related field supplemented with five years of experience in administration of medical or health science programs. Clinical experience is a plus.Minimum of four years of experience in accreditation, compliance, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, certifications and/or licensing in an academic or applicable healthcare setting strongly preferred. Two years of experience or more in an acute care setting preferred.Previous experience in Joint Commission accreditation and certification process preferred.Knowledge of multiple accreditation standards, guidelines and timelines. Ability to ensure that each program remains on track for meeting such objectives.Ability to manage multiple projects in order to meet objectives.Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.A broad knowledge of community colleges and other educational institutions is preferred.Must be self-directed and innovative, able to assess current operations in an effort to improve the future goals of the District.
