The

Milieu Manager

is a key member of the Northstar Behavioral Health Team who provides leadership on the unit; supervising and assigning daily tasks to MHS staff. Serves as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team and supports the facility’s treatment program and philosophy.

Shift:

5, 8-hour shifts

Schedule:

Monday - Friday

Key Responsibilities:

Crisis Intervention and Milieu Support:

Provides crucial milieu support during crises, serving as the first response coordinator for therapeutic interventions.

Training Facilitation and Compliance Monitoring:

Facilitates HWC and NOHOLD trainings, monitors CPR, First Aid, and HWC due dates, and ensures timely completion to meet deadlines.

Documentation Oversight:

Manages documentation for parent/guardian and family contacts, conducts incident report and SR paperwork reviews, and facilitates staff debriefing of SRs.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

Collects and interprets data from Q15 reviews, identifies areas for development, and provides monthly reports and action plans to senior leadership.

Training Coordination and Program Oversight:

Coordinates program scheduling, facilitates staff training on group facilitation and documentation, and ensures the implementation of therapeutic recreation, expressive therapy groups, FIT groups, and clinical programming.

Employee Development and Policy Adherence:

Implements Performance Improvement Plans, provides regular coaching and feedback to employees, and ensures adherence to facility policies/procedures through the corrective action process.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field AND 1 year of experience in the direct mental health patient care role OR a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a direct mental health patient care role.

Must be 21 years of age
