It’s a mission that bonds our people across nearly 60 countries and a rich, diverse variety of nationalities and backgrounds.The opportunityThe Director, Scientific Communications at Teva Pharmaceuticals will play a pivotal role in increasing the visibility of our science, innovation and drug development capabilities to strengthen Teva’s reputation as an innovative drug development company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in scientific and corporate communications.How you’ll spend your dayDevelop clear, accurate, high-quality internal and external scientific-medical-technology content for internet and intranet, social media, organizational communications and external press materials based on defined scientific communications strategy from Teva.Generate content and position messaging with a central focus on patient experience, reflecting respect and compassion for people living the medical conditions for which Teva develops and delivers treatments.Ensure strategic alignment of messaging through active collaboration with Teva colleagues and verify accuracy of scientific content through meticulous fact-checking.Create corporate scientific communications for multimedia channels employing professional journalistic standards.Develop and implement scientific communication strategies to promote the Company’s drug development capabilities, achievements and innovation.Engage and collaborate with business partners across the drug development value chain.Write and edit a variety of content, including feature stories, press releases, email newsletters, and website content.Work with scientists to understand their research and transform it into compelling narratives.Monitor and analyze communication performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of messaging and materials.Your experience and qualificationsEducation/Certification/Experience:A bachelor’s degree in a life sciences discipline or writing/journalism.A master’s degree in science writing, journalism or life sciences is a plus.A minimum of 5 years of scientific communications experience or a master’s degree in science writing and communications or journalism and 2 years of relevant experience.Proven experience in scientific communications, corporate communications and content development in the Pharma industry.Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong understanding of scientific concepts and the ability to translate complex information for a general audience.Proficiency in digital communication tools and platforms.Strong organizational and project management skills.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Ability to engage and collaborate effectively with clinicians, doctors and scientists.Proficiency in creating content for various communication channels.Travel RequirementsInternational and domestic travel should be expected up to 20% of the time.Physical Requirements:Sitting for extended periods of time at workstation or using mobile equipment.Using fingers to perform activities such as typing.Close visual acuity to perform activities such as computer work, preparing and analyzing data and extensive reading.Working Environment:Work will be conducted mainly in an office environment.Enjoy a more rewarding choiceWe offer a competitive benefits package, including:Comprehensive Health Insurance: Medical, Dental, Vision, and Prescription coverage starting on the first day of employment.Retirement Savings: 401(k) with employer match, up to 6% and an annual 3.75% Defined Contribution to the 401k plan.Time Off: Paid Time Off including vacation, sick/safe time, caretaker time, 13 paid Holidays and 3 paid floating holidays.Life and Disability Protection: Company paid Life and Disability insurance.Teva’s Equal Employment Opportunity CommitmentTeva Pharmaceuticals is committed to equal opportunity in employment.
