The Global Creative Studio team within Global Brand Marketing supports the creative strategy and execution across Franklin Templeton’s global business functions. The Creative Director – US Marketing, Brand and Global Strategic Initiatives will manage the overall creative direction and workflow of the US Marketing, Brand and Global Strategic Initiatives function – reporting into Global Creative Services Director and ensure good relationship management with US Marketing, Brand and Global Strategic Initiatives partners/stakeholders. This position needs to be in the US East Coast time zone.They will have proficiency in all aspects of the Franklin Templeton Creative Studio offering, Layout, Concepting, Basic Video Editing, Digital production and workflow and proofing to the (WCAG 2.1AA) Accessibility standard. They are looking to push the boundaries of those proficiencies and add further pillars to the FT Creative Studio offering, with a particular emphasis on AI. The Creative Director leads the team in all creative initiatives, from inception to execution, managing a team of designers and copywriters.
A large part of the work will be managing people, stakeholders and ensuring the Franklin Templeton culture is adhered to and maintained.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of the Creative Director – US Marketing & Brand?
Accountable for the US Creative Studio Design team, which has team members based in locations across the US, Mexico, Poland and UK.
Lead Creative Direction for the US Marketing, Brand and Global Strategic Initiatives Creative Team.
Guide the US Production Managers to allocate work across the US Marketing, Brand and Global Strategic teams.
Be the main contact for large strategic campaigns, across the Globe.
Will be the Global Brand Guardian and make calls when to "Flex" the brand or open a discussion with the Global Creative Services Director and the Brand Team.
Working with the Global Production Manager and the Global Creative Services Director to identify areas of efficiency.
Develop and produce layouts for publishing in a range of mediums including video, digital and print.
Use industry standard software and related technologies e.g. Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
Comfortable working directly with clients/partners to explore briefs and walk through the design process.
Lead the US Marketing, Brand and Global Strategic Initiatives team in all projects, lead creative sign off and present to clients.
Explores common design problems and seeks creative solutions.
Fully conversant on the values of Franklin Templeton and exemplify them in all aspects of interactions.
Ability to inspire and nurture creativity within the team, vision to create a culture of continuous personal development.
What ideal qualifications, skills and experience would help someone be successful?
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or equivalent experience.
5-8 years of related experience.
Experience in Financial Services an advantage but not a pre-requisite.
Expert in graphic design and editing tools such as Adobe Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, Premier, After Effects, (Adobe Creative Cloud) and Figma.
Strong skill set in Microsoft applications especially PowerPoint and ability to tell product stories using presentations as the primary channel.
Compensation and BenefitsFranklin Templeton offers employees a competitive and valuable range of total rewards—monetary and non-monetary—designed to support the whole person and to recognize their time, talents, and results. Along with base compensation, other compensation is offered such as a discretionary bonus, 401k plan, health insurance, and other perks. We expect the salary for this position to range between $155,700—$180,000.
