What is the Social Media team responsible for?As part of the Global Marketing team, you will sit in the Social Media team and help shape and manage Franklin Templeton’s social media strategy. You’ll be responsible for driving and managing the firm’s social presence across all social channels. In support of both B2B and B2C initiatives, you’ll work collaboratively with the stakeholders across the firm to develop content that is tailored for regional audiences, while also working closely with the global social team to execute global content relevant to all markets. To perform in this role you will be a social media marketer with excellent content creation and relationship-building skills.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of Social Media Manager, US & Americas?

Work with regional marketing leaders and the Social Media Director to define the global social media strategy for all social media channels.

Partner with senior leaders from various departments to advise on, develop and execute organic social media campaigns that achieve desired outcomes.

Manage the execution of social media initiatives for all of Franklin Templeton’s public social channels, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram.

Write/edit copy, create imagery, and repurpose company content, optimizing for reach and engagement on social media channels to support Franklin Templeton’s distribution initiatives and reinforce company’s brand.

Partner with regional marketing teams to amplify paid social efforts.

Provide expert social media consulting and guidance for regional business teams, corporate partners and external agencies.

Manage content calendar and appropriately tag content for enhanced analytics reporting.

Present analytics reports and communicate actionable insights to executives that inform future strategies.

Gain compliance approval for all content and ensure content is appropriately archived.

Provide support to firm’s social media employee advocacy program.

Stay abreast of social media trends and platform advances in order to advise on opportunities for content evolution.

What ideal qualifications, skills and experience would help someone be successful?

Bachelor's degree.

5+ years developing social media content and managing social media for a major brand in a corporate environment.

Advanced knowledge of social media platforms and evolving social media landscape.

Superb writing skills for social and web.

Intermediate to advanced image editing skills.

Deep understanding of organic social media strategies.

Work is largely performed without direction; participates in determining objectives of assignment; plans, schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives.

Ability to organize and prioritize workflow and to coordinate the work of others.

Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.

Excellent business judgement and ethics.

Ability to show a portfolio of client work.

Financial services marketing experience highly preferred, with a strong understanding of financial services and related verticals.

Along with base compensation, other compensation is offered such as a discretionary bonus, 401k plan, health insurance, and other perks. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Franklin Templeton, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation. We expect the salary for this position to range between $143,000 - $165,000.
