Who you will be working forThe Ability Network of Delaware (A.N.D.) is the statewide membership of community service providers who support individuals with disabilities and behavioral health issues through the advancement of policy, improved government relations and stellar advocacy. A.N.D. is a leader in human service advocacy in Delaware where we advance meaningful change that improves the environment in which our members provide vital services to Delawareans. Three of the last four years, our advocacy efforts have led to increased reimbursement rates for disability services, and successfully spearheaded four pieces of legislation which improved equity and access to behavioral health services.What you will be doingA.N.D. is looking for an accomplished and proactive manager to join our team as our next Associate Executive Director (AED). You will be working with the Executive Director to help lead the organization’s member services. You will have a passion for mission-based work and experience in human services for vulnerable populations. The AED will develop and implement activities and tools to enhance the value of the association for its members, especially through member relations, communications, and project management.After one year you will have built relationships with our members, gained a deep understanding of the issues impacting them, and developed a comprehensive strategy for addressing those needs.Essential skills and experience• Bachelor's degree in related field.• Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive responsibility in community-based human services, disability and/or behavioral health community services preferred.• Experience in management and facilitation of training programs and events.• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.• Strong verbal and written communication skills.• Ability to build strong relationships with members and stakeholder groups.• Experience in data collection and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.• Nonprofit/organizational management.• Marketing, communications, and social media.• Experience in setting goals and objectives, monitoring outcomes.• Able to travel throughout the state for necessary meetings and events.Compensation:A.N.D. offers a flexible working environment but does require that you are local to Delaware or in the surrounding states (PA, NJ or MD)

with
